Historic Park Place

Historic Park Place is one of the most significant structures located within the City of Williamsport’s Millionaire’s Row Historic District. Formerly the Herdic House Hotel, the building was constructed during the Civil War as a railroad hotel. It was destined for the wrecking ball in the early 1990’s, but was resurrected by three local businessmen.

Anthony H. Visco, Jr. Architects provided full architectural services for the careful renovations of Park Place, including the updates made to infrastructure to provide modern office requirements. Deliberate attention was paid to historic details throughout such as period paint colors, traditional furnishings, and historic fixtures to preserve the grandeur of the space. While care has been taken towards preservation, the remolding was also progressive and practical, replacing or restructuring systems for modern day data, security, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Today, Park Place is primarily professional office space, celebrating the splendor of Williamsport’s history. Wall finishes, painted borders, and period antique collectible furnishings are evidence of the pride in the building’s enduring tradition.
