Anthony H. Visco Jr. Architects assist Owners of older and historic properties with condition and context assessments, historic inventories, applications for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, historic design review, and application for historic tax credits. AHV facilitates communication between the property Owners and the review agencies to assure information is adequately conveyed during the project duration. We strive to provide the Owner with establishing a balance between stewardship and progression by establishing criteria from which our clients are able to make resource decisions.

Rowley House Museum
Preservation Williamsport has taken the initiative to preserve one of the most original and well-preserved residential properties in Williamsport historic district. In 1888, on of the wealthiest men in Pennsylvania, E.A. Rowley, completed building his main residence in a prime location on Williamsport’s most affluent street. PARK PLACE
Provided Full Architectural Services for the building renovations of the historic Park Place, formerly the Herdic House Hotel, one of the most significant structures in the City of Williamsport’s Millionaires Row historic district. Built during the Civil War as a railroad hotel, the building was destined for the wrecking ball in the early 1990’s but was resurrected by three local businessmen. Chamberlain Building
The Chamberlain Building, an historically significant building to downtown Lewisburg, was renovated to retain most of the original historical details at the front facade and in some of the interior spaces. These renovations were performed in conjunction with the guidelines from the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission and Preservation Pennsylvania. Currently, the building houses Retail Shops, Offices and Apartments.
Historic District Streetscaping
Provided Architectural Services for the historic district portion of the City of Williamsport Streetscape project. The Historic District included unique projects to augment a very distinctive National Register Historic District to further its beauty and promote tourism. We created distinctive entrance portals to the Historic District, period street lighting, the trolley turn-around and gazebo, period bus shelters and street signage.
Peter Herdic Transportation Museum
The renovation and limited restoration of the last remaining piece of passenger railroad history in the city limits of Williamsport, the Freight Building, as it has been called over the years, was constructed in the 1920’s to accommodate the increased use of railroads as a means of handling bulk goods and products.
